A POETIC MASTERPIECE FROM KELLY LABOOMBOOM
LT. COMMANDER (CMD)
“Sailing the Sea of Fate/Karma!”
The young woman's eyes scanned the horizon as the grey knife-like bow, cut through the boiling blue water with the ease that belied its mass. Stepping out to the starboard bridge wing, she noticed another warship quickly approaching. Quickly ducking inside, giving the order, the mammoth barrels of the main turrets all turning in unison as well as the secondaries all tracking the newcomer's vessel.
“Ahoy Scharnhorst, permission to pull alongside.”
“Permission Granted Napoli.”
Watching the Napoli slow and ease its more streamlined bulk before running parallel with my own vessel, I step out on to the wing once more and look more carefully at this newcomer, before seeing a young woman bounding out on the wing of her vessel waving to me.
“Hey, what is up with you Sister? Long time, no see. Are you still running solo in World of Warships?”
Shaking my head in disbelief, I gape at my best friend LadyBlood, and my ‘sister’ still waving like a goofball at me.
“Yes, no one knows how to properly play, and I find I am better off on my own Sis!”
“Then I found a home for you, a new clan, one I have worked with, and they are great people. Give them a look see and try; you might find that you found a port to finally drop anchor. Try them, they call themselves “MAZ6R CLAN.”
“I shall, thank you for the information sis! Calm seas and well-aimed guns as you hunt those pesky red ships.”
“You as well Kel, have fun and trust me on this.”
Shaking my head, I watch as the Napoli slowly pulls away from my vessel, making like a greyhound and vanishing quickly into the haze upon the horizon. Mulling over what she had told me, I was unsure whether it would be a good idea. My past attempts with clanning up had left a bitter taste in my mouth and not much fun to be had from it. I knew there were benefits to be had, but as of yet, they had been woefully missing from my experiences. I also knew that my “Sis” would never steer me down the wrong path, so changing the course, the bow of my Scharnhorst began to swing on a course that would take me to the MAZ6R port.
That was several weeks ago, and I am now part of a clan that really gets and understands the concept of supporting one another, teamwork, and helping each, and every member to succeed as a ship captain. A diverse and wild bunch of nuts that are like family, that is if you want a crazy and unhinged bunch of jokers as family, and yes, that is a good thing in my book. Myself, I have learned and gained knowledge and how to be a better captain, how to better use my ships qualities to the detriment of the enemies, but at the core, they are my friends, and I care for each and every one of them. Might have to tell my sister she was right, that there are still good, kind yet wildly nutty sailors out there that actually care. So, if you too like friends and fun along with some well-timed explosions, I would highly advise you to set a course to this clan’s naval base. Trust me, you will not regret joining this merry band of pirates.
See you on the Seven Seas and hopefully as a clanmate in a division.
Yours in Comradeship, Kelly Kaboom, Commander/Fleet Command Fleet Liaison Officer/External Communication.
